Safety. St. Petersburg is the safe city. Here it is accepted the people walk in the city even at night. But it is the big megalopolis and as everywhere in big cities there are pickpockets here. Be attentive, please. You don't carry with yourself documents and big money. Follow traffic regulations.You don't approach drunk people. Beware of pickpockets and especially gypsi children.
Correctly executed formalities will allow to avoid troubles on travel.
The invitation for registration of the visa. Without invitation it is impossible to receive the Russian visa. If you do direct booking in hotel, the hotel will send you the invitation. But it is necessary to remember that in this case you will pay hotel at the rack rates. Hostels and apartments can't send the invitation. If you want to receive low prices for accommodation in hotel, address to us for the invitation. It is not expensive and depends on that how many persons will arrive.
Visa. The Russian visa is issued in Consulates of Russia abroad. The visa fee is in each country the different. As a rule fee is same, as fee for the Russian people at a trip to this country. At the moment more than 100 countries of the world have the agreement on visa-free trips of citizens for a short time. We will consult you in where and as it is correct to file documents in your country for obtaining the Russian visa.
On border of Russia you have to receive the immigration card. It can't be lost. Copy, please, the immigration card, the visa and the first page of the passport. Walk around the city only with the copies. You store originals of these documents in the safe in hotel.
Under laws of Russia all visitors have to be registered in the place of accomodation. The hotel does it automatically (even if booking was done by us). If you live in hostel or in the apartment, registration will be made by us. Registration fee is not expensive. The unregistered travelers will have problems at departure from Russia and receipt of a visa in another time.
You have to have the health insurance for the traveler. Better it are to issue in the yours country. If you forgot it to make, we will issue it for you in Russia.
